Cyanotype

$50.00

It all begins with an idea. The cyanotype was invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel for scientific and engineering purposes. Later finding use by botanists, such as Anna Atkins, and as a more economic way to print photographs during the late 19th century. For me, this photographic process, now deemed historic, serves as a source of inspiration when creating artwork. Each work of art is printed using plant specimens native to the region.
